The Casio FX‑82MS is a reliable, non-programmable scientific calculator designed for students and professionals. It offers 240 built-in mathematical functions, including trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic operations.

It uses S‑V.P.A.M. (Super Visually Perfect Algebraic Method) input logic, which allows you to enter expressions in a more natural, textbook-like format across a two‑line display. The display supports 10 + 2 digits, meaning 10 digits for the mantissa plus 2 for the exponent.

For statistical work, it supports STAT‑data editing, standard deviation, regression analysis, and stores up to 9 variable memories.  It also handles fraction calculations, combinations (nCr), and permutations (nPr). The calculator is powered by one AA (R03) battery, and according to the manual, it can last a long time before needing replacement.  It weighs approximately 105 g with the battery installed.
